12″ Stainless Steel Threaded connect drive rod for use with 24″ DCP drive rods. The user attaches the 24" drive rod and tip. The test is executed to the 24" depth. At this point an additional 24" drive rod is attached to achieve additional depth. Typically used in softer soils or with the use of a Hand Auger to drill a hole first. Compatible with all Threaded Connect Style Kits. This Drive Rod has 2.0″ increments along its length to count the blows per 2 - 4 or 6-inch increment. This is often the easiest way to use the DCP looking for consistency in blow counts. It can also be used with the Vertical Scale and adapters to calculate CBR values or psf.
