The Disposable Cone Tip Adaptor with wrench flats is used for testing soils with a high shear strength. It is heat treated for long life and has a replaceable "O" ring that is used to secure the tip before the test is performed. The tip remains in the ground and the drive rod is removed much easier after completion of the test. This greatly reduces user fatigue and allows for more tests per day. Also, less wear and tear on the equipment. This can be used with all DCP sets.
