Dynamic Cone Penetrometer Reusable Hardened Cone Tips, for use in soft soil or sand, have wrench flats for easy installation and removal.
These tips must be driven out using the slide hammer after test completion.

(In hard soils the Disposable Cone Tips are recommended.)
